New location

Posted on October 24, 2009 at 5:14 AM

Well we have begun to settle in a little bit at our new location.  It has been interesting moving - I certainly could do without all the packing and unpacking.  I am glad that it is finally done.  We still have a few things to get done but we are pretty much there. There are some interesting things going on in this new location.  What I am really excited about is we will be doing trick or treating for the kids on Halloween day.  Each booth will have it set up with candy so kids can get the feel of trick or treating without so many safety issues. I, of course, will be dressed up as my witchy self (question is do I really need a costume for that??)  I hope to see all of you there!

Hi Bobbi -
I got your note about having difficulties signing up as a member. I have notified the web service company to help with the issue and they assure me that the issue is ironed out. So please give it another try to become a member. To answer your question: we have moved to 8606 W. Ludlow Drive, Peoria, AZ. Our shop is inside the A-Z Marketplace, and this is right off of Thunderbird Road and 88th Avenue. We carry Czech glass, Semi-precious, Swarovski beads. We also carry a variety of wood, seed, shell beads. I have a map loaded on this website for you so you can find us a little easier. Look under the Moving page and the map is there for you.

Bead Tip of the Day

Jumprings

Ever had a jumpring that keeps coming off a piece of your jewelry??  I certainly have and its annoying!!  Found that the trick to making sure they are securely in place is how you open them in the first place.  If you pull the jumpring open going either to the left or right, you will have a difficult time getting them back together evenly.  Holding the jumpring with a pair of chainnose pliers and using only your thumb, push one side of the ring forward.  This will open the ring for you and when you are ready to close, hold the ring again with chainnose pliers and pull the open side of ring back.  This will line up the sides of the ring for you.  If you are putting the jumpring on to a woven piece of jewelry and it still seems to find the thread, then very carefully put a small dot of superglue on the ring's closure.
